I've loved everything he's done and was proud to be able to put out the Monochromatic Sunlight EP on Smallfish. This album from Symbolic Interaction is just as deep, floating, beautiful and robust as you'd expect and Joe once again delivers a wonderful selection of tracks. All of his trademarks shine through; the deep, melodic and incredibly warm chords, beats that vary from funky through to sparse, analogue basslines that rumble and roll and a clear sense of pure melody. There's no pandering to anything here as Joe simply writes the music that he loves. The fact that he loves Detroit-edged techno just means it's a real treat for us. As always Joe's music comes with the highest recommendation. Wicked stuff.
